Ownership and permissions

Games, code, graphics, music, characters and other materials belong to their respective rights holders. Access to a game does not grant a right to copy or redistribute its assets, except where a licence or applicable law permits it. We expect contributing developers to hold the rights and permissions needed for their contributions.

Send a copyright report

If you own a copyright or are authorised to act for its owner, send a report to contact@geekedgames.io. Use the subject “Copyright / takedown report” and include:

1. Your name, contact email and the rights holder’s name, plus your authority to act if you are a representative.
2. A description of the protected work and, where available, a link to the original or other evidence of ownership.
3. The exact GeekedGames.io game, page or asset URLs at issue and enough detail to locate the material within a game.
4. An explanation of the alleged infringement, including any relevant licensing information.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the disputed use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
6. A statement that your information is accurate, and your physical or electronic signature.

If submitting a formal notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), also include the contact details required by that law and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the owner of the exclusive right concerned. This email is our copyright reporting contact; this page does not claim registration as a DMCA designated agent or automatic eligibility for a statutory safe harbour.

How we handle reports

We review sufficiently detailed reports and act without undue delay where required. We may request clarification, seek licence evidence, temporarily disable access, or remove material found to infringe. We may contact the relevant developer and share information necessary to investigate or respond to the claim, subject to applicable privacy and legal requirements.

Outside developers may create or supply games hosted here. We can restrict or remove content on our own service and raise the issue with its developer, but cannot directly remove copies hosted on unrelated websites. This practical limitation does not exclude any responsibility or remedy required by law. Repeated or serious infringement may lead us to stop distributing a developer’s games.

Mistakes and disputed claims

If your content was removed and you believe there is a mistake, email the same address with the affected URLs, our report reference if available, and evidence of your rights or other lawful basis for use. We will review the response and follow any applicable statutory notice, counter-notice or court process. We do not promise automatic restoration or substitute our review for a court decision.

Please submit reports honestly and consider licences and applicable copyright exceptions. Knowingly false claims may have legal consequences. This process does not limit either party’s right to seek legal advice or remedies.

Other unlawful or harmful content

You can also use contact@geekedgames.io to report other allegedly unlawful or harmful material. Identify the exact location and explain the concern. Fictional or satirical presentation alone does not excuse unlawful content.

Interface icons use Lucide and adaptations of its original SVG geometry. Open-source components remain subject to their licences. Read the Lucide and Feather licences.
